These are beautiful, original, hand-colored copper plate engravings of geraniums. The water coloring is very intense and bright despite their age. They were pulled from a larger volume of work from the mid 1840s that featured a collection or set of many botanical engravings.
One is marked, “Floracultural Cabinet 1843.” The other is marked, “1 Lyne’s Marmion 2 Lyne’s Hesperus.”
The double matting is hand painted/detailed and gold edged. The frame is a simple classic gold leaf with a beaded edge.
