Discontinued lot stemware c1968-2017, the Maureen pattern is a heavy weight stout stem with vertical fluted cuts on the bowl over a thick solid base and ball orb stem middle that sits on a plain bottom. Modern with a touch of art deco in style, this regency stemware piece is a classic show stopper. Shown here is the water goblet and the claret wine. Generally speaking the water goblet can of course be used for water and lighter drinks, whilst can be used as the 'all purpose' wine glass for those generous servings of blush and sparkling servings. The claret wine, typically smaller in size, is also known to serve red wines, such as bordeaux, merlot, cabernet. The shape of the glass with a rounded bowl designed to enhance those aromas and flavors of these wines. These are handcrafted clear cut crystal, made in Ireland.
