Fabulous Victorian era deer hoof taxidermy inkwell. For the horse gentry who wanted a remembrance, there was an option to taxidermy the hoof, and this is a fine example.
The unique inkwell was handmade at the time featuring a wonderful fabric motif. The glass and gilt metal inkwell rests at the top.
The piece stands tall 5" tall to the inkwell's lid, 5" long and approx. 4" wide. It is in excellent condition with some light wear..
