Lovely white ironstone platter, generously proportioned (10.5"W x 14.5"D) with intricately scalloped edges. Fabricated at the well-known J&G Meakin pottery works founded in 1890 at Hanley England. Mark en verso of Royal Arms with the lion rampant, Ironstone China, J&G Meakin Hanley England dates the piece as early as their founding in 1890.
Very good antique condition; no chips, no cracks, no crazing. One small stain and one tiny stain; the larger of the two is as shown.
