Signs of use and wear are … Read more From Nigeria, Africa, this pot is roughly 46.5" around, 14.75 across, and 13.5" high. Signs of use and wear are evident on the surface of the vessel. The body is rounded at the bottom with three bands of raised adornment about the middle. Then, the shoulder and neck feature incised and raised banded patterns. The Nupe people live in Nigeria. This piece features the intricate geometric work for which Nupe ceramics are known. It comes to us from the estate of an academic. We believe it to be a vintage vessel. See less
