This fabulous whitewashed split rattan beauty with its sublime cottage chic profile offers both visual and textural interest. It’s a stylish utilitarian option for small storage in a powder or laundry room, a cachepot of sorts for holding a beautiful verdant plant or a decorative accent on a display shelf, fireplace mantel or tabletop. It measures 15½” x 11x 11” H/W/D (height excluding handle 9½”); interior 9½” x 10½ x 10½ H/W/D with opening 8”; weight 1 lb. 5 oz. Handwoven from split rattan weavers in a traditional over and under weave; braided rattan lash lip with a bent bamboo handle in an earthy whitewashed stain with light lacquer finish that allows the warm undertones of the natural rattan color to peek out. In excellent condition with minimal wear. Handwoven in the Philippines sometime in the early to mid 1980s by an unknown basket artisan.
