Calling all Pug Lovers and Dog Enthusiasts.
Offered here: A fabulous Lithograph and Original Victorian hand painted frame, dated Sunday, July 1st, 1894- created by J. Ottman. The artwork features five adorable, playful pugs and is titled "WAR", written at the center bottom.
This charming piece was issued as an "Art Supplement to the Philadelphia Inquirer," as noted in the lower right-hand corner (see photo for details).
While there is a small tear in the bottom section of the lithograph, it’s barely noticeable and does not detract from the overall beauty of this piece (please see detailed photo). It's truly remarkable to find it in such wonderful condition after 130 years! The colors remain vibrant and fresh, and the frame—an authentic Victorian treasure—shows only minor imperfections consistent with its age.
On the back (verso), it reads:
"Copyright July 1, 1894 J Ottman Litho NY."

The colors are gorgeous! The frame is wonderful and Victorian. It has some imperfections but in excellent condition given its age. less
