Stunning Mid Century Art Deco Style Desk designed by Eliel Saarinen for the Johnson Furniture Co in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Its design was part of the Flexible Home Arrangements (FHA) furniture collection. Birch wood veneer, art deco inspired wood drawer handles on ebonized plinth base. Drawers are dove-tailed. Original birch finish in excellent condition for age. Can include the original protective glass top, but glass is damaged in several places.
