A sculptural and elegant French wingback lounge chair with matching stool, executed in solid oak and upholstered in original green mohair, designed in the manner of Guillerme et Chambron and dating from the 1960s.

Both chair and stool display a rich, glowing dark oak patina, developed beautifully over time, enhancing the architectural character of the design. The craftsmanship is of particularly high quality, with finely carved details and expressive traditional joinery, most notably the distinctive wedged mortise-and-tenon construction, which serves as both a structural and decorative feature.

The original mohair upholstery has been well preserved and contributes to the chair’s refined yet inviting appearance. Exceptionally comfortable, this piece functions perfectly as a fireside or reading chair, combining sculptural presence with everyday usability.
