Exceptional John Widdicomb Broken Arch Illuminated Display Cabinet featuring an original hand-painted speckled finish with floral detailing and raised relief carvings.
A highly unusual decorative example, this cabinet retains its richly layered gilded, antiqued, washed, and speckled surface—a finish seldom encountered on comparable Widdicomb pieces. The exceptional depth and character of the original finish are even more impressive in person.
Wire-screen doors with geometric quatrefoil motifs open to illuminated glass shelving, while the lower cabinet provides concealed storage behind paneled doors with ornate antique brass hardware.
