Made from a single sheet of metal, stainless steel, this chair explores the possibilities offered by a unique material and simple but precise manufacturing techniques.
Its design is based on a tilt angle of 5 degrees, applied to the seat and repeated in each cut and fold, guaranteeing comfort and solidity without the use of fixings or glue.
The manufacturing process begins with a flat rectangular sheet: two angular cuts, three longitudinal folds made by machine, then the legs bent by hand to perfect the angle.
Stainless steel, chosen for its durability and rigidity, is finished in a sandblasted matte, offering a soft-touch texture and a raw yet refined appearance that softens the angular aesthetic.
with its clean geometric lines, the chair is part of a brutalist and contemporary aesthetic, suitable for both interiors and outdoor spaces.
Paul Coenen, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, favors an experimental approach where the material guides the form.
Produced by the designer or in collaboration with local workshops, the Camber Chair combines functionality and sculptural character, designed to stand the test of time, as Coenen highlighted during exhibitions such as Dutch Design Week.
