A 1991 poster for the exhibition "Images from 25 Years, 1966-1991" of works by the American photographer Bruce Cratsley (1944-1998). The poster features a photograph taken by Cratsley of a small boy in a striped shirt standing on a staircase. The poster is unframed.
Bruce Cratsley was an American photographer that graduated from Swarthmore College in 1966. He worked as a gallerist for 20 years, before becoming a full-time photographer in 1986. In 1988, Cratsley was awarded with a Guggenheim Fellowship. Cratsley followed the LGBTQA+ scene in New York throughout the AIDS epidemic, capturing important cultural events including the New York City LGBT Pride March and the first Wigstock. Today, his works belong in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Harvard Art Library.
