Antique Spice Box from India, originally used for keeping spices or kum kum powder for tika ceremony.
Hand turned in a round shape with domed lid. Lacquer painted red & black with rich patina.
Antique early to mid 19th century, despite it's age, the lid still fits snuggly to preserve the aroma of its contents. In good working condition for storing spices, herbs, or other trinkets.
