Antique Chinese child's hat, most likely 1900s to early 20th century. These hats were designed not only as clothing but also to protect the child from sickness and ward off evil spirits, while imbuing them with qualities like wealth, health, courage, and happiness. The hat features intricate needlework and embroidery, depicting a dragon or foo lion face. The face has moving bits, adding a playful element. Beautiful tiger striping and tiny intricate embroidered details.
Excellent condition with some obvious wear and discoloration, but no major tears or flaws. I can include with hat stand for display purposes.
