This is an early-20th century vintage Japanese vase of the Satsuma style. This sports the characteristic, subtle crackling glaze finish and lotus-oriented floral motifs of Satsuma wares.
The gilding and coloring are indicative of an early-20th century make century make, with gilding around its base and upper rim that continues the style's centuries-old aesthetic tradition.
The dimensions of this piece are 18" tall by 14" wide and 12" deep.
This piece was last purchased in San Francisco in 1975.
