It originally came from a haute … Read more This is a matted CHANEL, French, vintage, fashion, design print that dates to 1939. It originally came from a haute couture magazine from the time; it is NOT a recent reproduction print. It showcases a highly stylized Chanel suit with a sculptural design. The ensemble features a cinched waist, flaired skirted jacket and long lapels that open up to a double breasted buttoned blouse. Do note the frilled collar and cuff details! Please also note the off-centered hat and hint of earrings. This print is done in black and white tones. It is illustrated and signed by the prolific fashion illustrator of the time, Leon Benigni. It is hard to find original Chanel prints such as these with the passage of time. The image measures 7 x 10.5 inches in size. Pristine and clean. Comes matted in a white 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for a standard size mat. Please allow time for custom matting.
