This pair of children’s chairs has a back frame in the Southern Official hat style. The seat is made of a solid plank of wood. The aprons are done in the traditional Jin style with the trailing plant motif as decoration. The chairs were originally covered with lacquer finishes. Now that most of the lacquer finishes have been wore off revealing the wood grains. The chairs are made of Yumu (Northern Elm) but the aprons are made of Baimu (Cypress).
