This is a set of 4 Mid-Century c1950's French fashion drawings that are hand colored designs on vellom (onion skin paper). They are works done with white gouache and pen and ink. These are known as French croquis (fashion drawings). They are highly collectible and desirable with the passage of time, sought after by today's collectors and fashionistas. The 4 designs showcase dresses and their rear views. The highlights of white qouache on the dresses, one set of shoes, and jewelry create a strong POP of interest and bring "life" to the designs. These are even more evident and impactful in real time! Same is true for the subtle touches of red gouache on the lipstick and on the fingernails! There are hand notations on the top edges. These images are ready to be enhanced by your custom matting and framing as they make great wall decor for today's vintage fashion collector. The 4 croquis have lighter top corners, indicators of original postings in the couture house. These are small and easily matted out with framing. They measure approximately 6.5 x 10.25 inches in size. You are purchasing a set of 4 original drawings. See less
