Fabulous old ginger jar, presented in a pattern of rich Green with a double happiness pattern that appears on all … Read more Fabulous old ginger jar, presented in a pattern of rich Green with a double happiness pattern that appears on all four sides. The double happiness symbol is in an orange against a pale yellow background, framed in a lime, green and pink circle. Separating the double happiness symbols are scrolls of floral and fuchsia, soft, pink, orange, and lime green. Accents of white and black fill out the pattern. Sitting on top of this ginger jar is a wooden lid that has been stained a deep dark espresso, with a teardrop shaped knob. I am not sure that the lid is original to this piece, but it would have had a different wooden lid. While this little appears older, I do think the jar may be older than the lid.

This is a beautiful piece to display and very unique, it is done in colors of the emperor and the yellows and greens

Very nice condition, no chips, no cracks. What I’ve noticed on this is around the edge. There is paint loss on the surface of the ceramic. You can see this in the photos, we would attribute this to age, technique, and handling. See less
