Nicely-sized rattan and bamboo ear handled catchall basket, a chic and stylish solution for toting laundry, storing toys or craft related items or anything you want tucked away but still need quick and easy access to. Artisan crafted using bamboo stakes all around, as the frame, which were then wrapped with rattan lashes in a vertical design for added visual interest. The interior and exterior underside was woven using rattan weavers in an over and under double diagonal pattern for structural integrity which also produced the visually eye catching motif seen in the photos. Bent and curved bamboo ear handles have been wrapped in rattan weavers. Color is a naturally aged golden rattan lacquered hue. This beauty measures 21¾ wide from handle-tip-to-handle-tip (20¼” wide if you exclude the handles); depth 16”; height 11½” from handle top to bottom (9” high if you exclude the handle); interior 19½” x 15” 7¾” W/D/H; weight 3 lbs. 6 oz. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear. Maker unknown. This beauty hails from the mid to late 1980s.
