Magnificent and sophisticated French wooden bench or stool, in Provençal style. The front and sides present an elegant carved ornamentation of veined and vegetal shapes, running along its entire profile. Short cabriole legs. The beauty of wood stands out, as it exudes warmth and elegance. The pink gingham upholstered cushion is included.

The Provençal style, as its name indicates, was born in France, in the region of Provence in the 18th century. It is governed by the Louis XV style, resulting in an art marked by a rustic and romantic appearance because it is the adaptation of this aesthetic to the country houses of the French aristocracy. These second homes sought to serve as a kind of escape and place of rest from the frenetic life of these great aristocrats, so they opted for a comforting decoration, inspired by the nature that surrounds their homes. The plant motifs seek to emulate the beauty and tranquility that the region's landscapes evoke. To achieve this aesthetic, exposed natural materials are used, instead of covering them with polychrome.
