Stunning extra large antique Japanese 6-Panel Byobu (folding screen) depicting a graceful landscape with big old Pine Tree, Red-Crowned Cranes and Peony Flowers. Yamato-E style. Unsigned. Masterfully painted. Very detailed. Beautifully aged. Gouache, watercolor, ink and gold pigment mist on paper. Silk brocade border. Lacquered black wood frame. Paper on back. Very good condition for age - some age wear overall and on hinges (this won' show when the screen is professionally hanged on a wall), some water staining, clean, sturdy. Japan, Meiji Era, circa 1880-1900s.
