It could be from the Art Nouveau period of around 1910, I suppose, or perhaps a bit later. How much later I can't say. I replaced the socket -- a larger one which came with the lamp and suggested 1910 vintage -- with a smaller keyless socket. As you can see, there's not much space for a light bulb so I've added a step-down device which allows for the use of a small candelabra bulb (which will be included with your purchase). Conversation to a candelabra socket would allow slightly more room for a larger bulb.

Lady lamps in the Art Nouveau style are super-rare, and this one's in excellent condition, with a lovely bronze patina. The shade is brass, of course, with a nice old patina and glass jewels on the top and sides. The figure is probably spelter. The dangling decorative elements are made of wood (one or two are missing). As you can see, there's a range of color in the patina -- green, red, bronze...

There's a hi-lo switch on the cord which allows 1/2 power, full power, off.

The lamp measures about 19 inches high and the base is about 5 1/2 in both directions. The shade's diameter is 10 1/2 inches. See less
