One is sat, holding a fishing net. … Read more Minton Majolica fountain which features two putti on a rocky outcrop amongst bullrushes. One is sat, holding a fishing net. The other holds a large fish or dolphin over his shoulder. The mouth of the dolphin forms the water spout. Colouration: beige, green, blue, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '911'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1864.
