This is Artcurial's reissue of the plate made in 1968. It is accompanied by a blue enamelled plate. The pure composition of the work demonstrates the intensity of Delaunay's art in a minimalist, cleaner, purer form. There is no question of lyrical flights of fancy here, but of a measured harmony of color and form governed by relationships of simultaneity. The rectangle dominates, creating a dissonance with the round shape of the plate. Its repetition structures the cross-shaped composition. The white space in the center draws the eye to a dialogue between three semi-circles that face each other and complete the work's skilfully mastered balance. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
