Woven with corn straw. Condition: good original condition special remarks: few signs of use. This ash chair set is simple and clear in construction, and of high quality in production. The furniture shows only minor signs of wear, and a few minor blemishes in the clear varnish had to be touched up. Ash wood has a special characteristic: exposure to light gives the rather pale wood an intense honey tone. The seating configuration is interesting: the armchair served the head of the household, while the family sat on the simple chairs. The stool was only used when necessary.
