Vintage Home is pleased to offer this pair of hand-carved Alabaster Parrot Bookends. The alabaster has lovely shades of -ale pink, mint and cream with the traditional ivory. The artist did a masterful job of carving the two parrots to maximize the pastel shades of the stone. They are lovely.

There are some surface nicks in the stone, especially around the edges. One beak appears to have some slight damage, but it’s hard to tell if it’s just how it was carved. There is also a dark vein on one parrot, which appears to be a natural stone imperfection. The coloring does vary and fade into the stone depending on what kind of light these are shown in. less
