Beautiful, large ceramic raku vase featuring off-white and black crazing with a drip accent glaze in a celery green around the neck. Artist signed and dated 1970.
This type of raku features crackle or "crazing" which is due to a change in temperature and in the reduction oxidation (redox) process. This makes each piece unique, with the final outcome often out of the artist's control and left up to the natural firing process.
