An energetic and confidently executed mid-century modernist still life composition, painted in oil onto board.
The composition featured a vibrant bouquet of red blossoms arranged in a vase, placed atop a table scattered with playing cards and a patterned dish.
Executed in a loose, expressive style, the painting features bold and gestural brushstrokes, and black outlines that define forms with an energetic, almost sketch-like immediacy.
