A wonderfully textured mid-century still life composition that presents a vibrant arrangement of everyday objects rendered with bold character, painted in oil onto board and dated 1973.

At the heart of the composition is a sliced watermelon, surrounded by ripe green pears, a rustic earthenware jug, and a warm-toned plate. These elements are laid out on a richly textured white cloth, draped dramatically to heighten the sense of depth and realism.
