Bold lithograph by Eugene Hawkins (American, b. 1933). Gerry Mulligan sits on a stool holding his baritone sax on his lap.

Eugene Hawkins (American, b. 1933) is a BIPOC artist known for his detailed portraiture and printmaking. He is listed in Who Was Who in American Art, 1564-1975 and his work was exhibited in the Whitney Museum of American Art. He spent the majority of his life working and exhibiting in Southern California. His work frequently touches upon socio-political subjects, making strong statements about the world.
