This candle holder is made by Skultuna, Sweden, and is marked "N40" at the bottom. It is made from an alloy of copper and brass, which gives it a more reddish tone than typical brass. It holds a standard-sized taper candle and is in great condition, with only light signs of wear.
Skultuna was founded in 1607 by King Karl IX of Sweden and has produced fine metal objects of the highest quality ever since. It is one of the oldest companies in the world and continues to be a purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden.
