A magnificent large Ashworth Imari ironstone platter, circa 1860. Measuring 21.5 inches wide by 16.5 inches high, this substantial example highlights the exceptional craftsmanship and artistry for which Ashworth Bros is renowned. Founded in 1848, Ashworth Bros succeeded Morley & Ashworth (1858–60) and acquired the rights to Mason's patent for ironstone china, continuing the tradition of producing high-quality ceramics.
