A charming blonde Italian Musical Jewelry Box with beautifully crafted marquetry inlays. Circa Mid 20th Century. This box comes with a key and lock that is fully functional. The Swiss musical movement plays the theme song " Lara's Theme" from the famous movie Doctor Zhivago. This stunning jewelry box stands on four block feet and is highly decorated all over with elaborate detailed marquetry inlays. The inside is covered in red velvet with an original small oval mirror on the inside of the lid. An impressive well crafted box to add to a collection or enhance a dresser, vanity or desk.
