Antique Austria late 19th century Carl Larsen (1853-1910), handpainted, Rococo style fine porcelain tea cup and saucer set.
The tea set feature footed bases with intricate gilt detailing, floral motifs with romantic scenes and cherubs.
Larsen worked mostly in Copenhagen and did many popular decorative arts.
He achived great fame for his excellent work in Tivoli, where he created the world famous “peacock curtain” at the Chinese Theater in 1874. Larsen later moved to Vienna in 1875 and continued working with decors there until his death in 1910.
This is a beautiful fine porcelain china collector set, perfect to add to a collection or display in a china cabinet.
