Sriwijaya Pottery Pouring Vessel, Kendi, 10th Century CE, Cambodia - 1 Piece.
The pouring terracotta vessel, features a bulbous body, accented by ocher colored bands, a neck for holding and a spout, both ritual and functional purposes, including holding ritual water or as a water carrier.
Dimensions: 12 L x 11 D x 9.25 H inches.
Provenance: Ex-Richard Gervais Collection, San Francisco, CA.
Condition notes: Very good; slight losses to rim of spout body and footed base, body effected by a couple of small superficial chips on body, shows age and handling; surface distress, soil and mineral deposits, the vessel chamber is intact.
