Glass blended form and function to create his iconic Mid-Century Modern style Cylindra furniture in 1966 for the Richbilt Manufacturing Co. Utilizing bent plywood to craft this sleek yet comfortable dining set, he created an iconic look. This particular example is a lighter wood with playful spotted cheetah print fabric on the seats and chair backs on all four chairs in the set; the table is dinner-party ready with two leaves for plenty of guest room!
The table in this set has had its original legs replaced with wishbone-style legs some time ago, providing a rather unique mix of mid-century styling. The table is consequently shorter than typical at only 27 inches tall. The wishbone legs are well fit and do not affect function, providing approximately 7 inches of clearance between seat top and table bottom and easy sliding to insert one leaf or both.
Table measures approximately 42 inches square with two 20 inch leaves for a total size of 82 inches. No manufacturer marks or tags noted. See less
