A splendid pair of antique Victorian silver-plated magnum-sized bottle coasters, ideal for larger bottles. The bombe-shaped bodies feature a finely pierced gallery and rest on turned mahogany bases, showcasing a lovely warm patina. The central recessed bosses hold bottles securely, while the rims are adorned with wide high-relief bands of scrolling foliage and flowerheads in the Rococo Revival style.
These coasters are finished with green baize undersides to protect surfaces and are wonderfully ornate, making them an impressive addition to any formal dinner setting.
