about arthur percy and gullaskruf:
arthur percy (1886–1976) was a swedish artist and designer credited with modernizing the scandinavian glass aesthetic in the 20th century. Initially a painter and illustrator, he moved towards industrial design in the 1920s. His collaboration with the gullaskruf glassworks, founded in 1893 in southern sweden, began in the 1940s. There he developed a refined and organic formal language, characterized by slender lines and vibrant colors. The "tulip" vases, hand-blown in deep hues, perfectly illustrate the functional elegance of post-war swedish design. These pieces are sought after today for their artisanal quality and their timelessness.
