This early edition of the so-called plank chair, model ge-290 was manufactured during the 1950s. Hans j. Wegner designed this easy chair in 1953 for the traditional furniture manufacture getama, located in gedsted, denmark. This vintage chair showcases the timeless elegance and masterful craftsmanship that has made wegner an influential force in the midcentury design movement.

This early edition chair features a solid teak wood frame, beautifully displaying the natural grain of the wood.
