The structure … Read more Large free-standing mirror made in the last quarter of the 19th century still with a marked eclectic taste. The structure of the strongly architectural frame features a double arch on the top on which rests a large hexagonal reserve with a blue painted background with carved and gilded putti inserted. On the two culminating parts of the mirrors are inserted facing carved and always gilded dragons. On the sides of the mirror are applied carved dragons with Gothic turrets. Then two coats of arms are applied, one of which is recognizable as the Visconti coat of arms. Veneered in mahogany with painted and gilded parts. Repetitions in the gilding. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
