This fabulous trefoil top solid oak wood English-style cricket table was crafted by Conant Ball in 1972. The look-and-feel of this beauty is patterned after the traditional cricket table, one of England’s most popular and practical pieces of furniture. The classic English table traditionally takes the form of a rounded top (or trefoil shape, in this case) standing on three tripod legs united by either an under-tier shelf or stretcher. It’s an incredibly practical and stylish table that will work beautifully alongside an arm chair or between two side chairs and complement most any design aesthetic. The tabletop will easily accommodate a nicely-sized lamp with room to spare. This beauty measures 20¼” x 22½” x 20½” H/W/D (width and depth are interchangeable due to the trefoil shape of the tabletop); weight approximately 20 lbs. The circular Conant Ball incised stamp is on the underside of the table’s apron. The look is inspired by early to mid-Jacobean period furniture that commonly had turned legs and stretchers and not much more in terms of design or embellishment. This beauty’s baluster and ring turned column legs are joined together by an apron all around which gives it a finished look and lends stability to the tabletop. The rich color is a dark wenge-like stain finish with slight umber undertones that allows the beautiful oak wood grain to show through, lovely! In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear. A cricket table has a transitional look-and-feel that will complement most any style. This trefoil-shaped tabletop just adds an additional level of visual and design interest to the conversation!
