A pair of Quan Yin Blanc de Chine lamps with Pagoda shades. The base is gold leafed with a black detail 1/2" inside the diameter of the base.
A complement to a formal living room, den, bedroom or guest room. The pieces are in great condition and the sockets and brass are new, with good wiring. Shades are original and are printed with Japanese Medallion. While the shades work well with the lamps, they do have signs of age, we can redo them with COM for an additional fee. We also have lotus blossom shades, which are stunning, however relatively pricey to re-do.
This Quan Yin figure originated as the Buddhist bodhisattva of compassion, named Avalokiteśvara. Buddhists believe that existence is inextricably linked to pain and seek release from the cycle of life, death, and rebirth into a blissful state of peace called nirvana.

The bases have been freshly leafed - the shades are original and do have some worn areas - They can work fine with the lamps, or for an extra fee we can have them redone with COM. We also have lotus shaped shades. Wear consistent with age and use.
