DESCRIPTION:
Antique / vintage Norman Bel Geddes designed armchairs lounge chairs for Simmons. 1930's era. Rare to find a pair with all original parts. Both chairs retain original wood armrests, spring / metal seats and adjustable foot pads. Recent taupe/beige vinyl upholstery in good condition with light soiling but no tears. Cushions are heavy so some original padding materials may be included inside. Chairs need restoration/refinishing. Color under yellow is a light green. Bare metal can also be seen…as these chairs were often sold in polished metal. Chair frames are lightweight hollow tube construction so I'm not sure if they are steel or aluminum. No makers tags.
