French tooled and gilded leather stationery box, c.1920’s
A good looking box by the renowned French retailer Maquet. Having a sloped front and brass hardware. The leather has an aged appearance. The interior is silk lined and has three compartments for different sized stationery. The underside is gilt stamped ‘Maquet, 10 rue de la Paix’. Good overall condition with surface age wear.
