It is an absolute pleasure to offer this adorable circa 1950 clip-on paper lamp shade featuring a hand painted image of a Royal Guard soldier in a highly stylized garden setting. I love finding vintage pieces such as this, which are well-worn, but lovingly preserved over generations.
Shade is good vintage condition considering its age and use. Wear includes oxidation on the clip-on harp, areas of discoleration both on the inside and outside of the shade, and a small puncture on the right side of the guardsman (see photos). All of these "imperfections" tend to enhance the vintage character of the shade and do not detract from its overall look. Just beautiful!
