Demijohn bottles have a wide, round body and a small mouth and are used for storing wine and spirits. Vacqueyras is a French wine Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in the southern Rhône wine region of France, along the banks of the River Ouvèze. Being a little brother of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and, arguably, Gigondas, the wine is moderately prestigious and can yield pleasing results when treated correctly. Vacqueyras is known for producing full-bodied, rich, and concentrated red wines, as well as some white and rosé wines, with flavors of dark fruits, spice, herbs, and sometimes earthy or gamey notes.
