C 2000: A gorgeous and seminal part of a series introduced in late C.1998 and into the early part of … Read more C 2000: A gorgeous and seminal part of a series introduced in late C.1998 and into the early part of C.2000's is this seminal "Macchia," Vessel, ensemble Glass Sculpture Vessel and 6 elemental interior components. in a luscious and vibrant Imperial /Iris/Paris Blue coloration is this series, part of the "Basket Set Series," with additional elements and pieces within this large vessel showcased. There are 7 lements/pieces which include the main large vessel which olds the smaller varied sizes you see pictured individually and showcased within the vessel. From a Well-know Hand-bag Designers Treasure trove of Art, this piece was placed on hand-made heavy lucite base and suspended upon it.

Ultramarine Blue Royal and Cobalt Blue rolled into one, but a gradation of these color ways, based on the vessel and how much the glass was stretched to create the vessel, as well as it's basket pieces inset. ALSO there is a linear black glass detail to the rum and areas of all pieces as close up images indicate. Chiuhly normally in these group sculptural "ONLY," etch signs and dates one of the smaller pieces, as one can see the signature 2nd to the last image. We don't recall but the last or the 2nd to last PIC of smalls is whereupon the signature lies.

A relationship was forged with Chihuly and the owners of this piece, and we know there is paperwork provenance for this as well as all their Blue Chip Artwork, From Alex Katz, to Donald Judd, William Kentridge, Jeff Koons, Louise Bourgeoise, Gerhard Richter, Takashi Murakami, to name but a few. As well as other pieces by Him, within their collection, BUT it is among and with the Living Estate of a HandBag Designer, transplanted to Palm Beach Island, Florida. from manhattan, NYC and The Hampton's. Art Handlers handled all the piece for protection throughout until it's sale/Buyer herein. There are no chips nor cracks nor foe bites. Very well maintained.
