Here is a stunning bone china and silver plated biscuit barrel made by Royal Crown Derby in the 19th century, likely 1850's. The piece is hand-painted with Imari-inspired designs, known as "Gaudy Welsh." These types of pieces were made to store biscuits, but I think it would be lovely for tea leaves, sugar, cookies, etc. Marked on the bottom with the Royal Crown Derby seal and silver marked on the side, as shown. In great condition. I purchased my favorite pieces from an avid collector.
