A trio of English veined flambé art pottery objects consisting of a round shallow dish with a pair of matching … Read more A trio of English veined flambé art pottery objects consisting of a round shallow dish with a pair of matching cabinet vases dating to the Art Deco period from Royal Doulton of England, circa 1930s. The trio is perfectly sized to sit atop a desk, night stand, vanity, or side table. Each item is decorated with an ornamental glaze of dark glossy red developed by Doulton's chief designer, Charles Noke (1858-1941). Noke and his team used metallic oxides to create these high-fired glazes resulting in sophisticated patterns and dynamic color combinations unique to every object.

The dish features a glossy red glaze with highlights of dark indigo and lighter blue and a hint of fuchsia. Very good condition measuring 6.13 in. diameter x 1 in. height bearing a printed Royal Doulton factory crown and lion mark over FLAMBE / VEINED / 1621 underfoot. The cabinet vases are each enveloped in a glossy red glaze with highlights of black and dark indigo blue with fiery tendrils of golden orange-yellow. Each vase is in very good condition measuring 4.25 in. H x 2.63 in. (at widest) and each bears a printed Royal Doulton factory crown and lion mark over FLAMBE / VEINED / 1606 underfoot. See less
